Best Picture marathon — Are you man enough?

So you still haven't seen "There Will Be Blood" or "Atonement" and you have to fill out your office Oscar ballot. If the filing deadline is Sunday, you're in luck: AMC Theatres is hosting a nationwide Best Picture nominee marathon on Saturday, starting with "Michael Clayton" at 11 in the morning and ending 12 hours and 25 minutes later with the closing credits of "No Country for Old Men." (Presumably "Juno" will be showing early enough for the pregnant-teenager crowd.)

The catch is that in the Boston area you have to go to Methuen or Framingham. Because, you know, those Boston Common playdates of Larry the Cable Guy's "Witless Protection" are just too precious to lose. Still, $30 gets you all five movies ($6 a pop, a steal) and there are free popcorn refills all day long. You might want to sneak in some carbs, though, and maybe some Zoloft -- this is one seriously depressing bunch of movies.
