LOS ANGELES, Sept. 23, 2010 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- IMAX Corporation (Nasdaq:IMAX) (TSX:IMX), Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures announce that Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, the film based on the beloved "Guardians of Ga'Hoole" books by Kathryn Lasky, will be released to IMAX(r) theatres this Friday, September 24th. The film will open on 193 IMAX(r) 3D screens domestically, simultaneously with the film's wide North American release. The movie will also open on 63 IMAX screens internationally, three of which will open this Friday with the additional runs debuting throughout the following weeks. More international theatres will be added as pending bookings are confirmed.
